This course is for novice mountaineering persons who want to discover mountaineering. Three beautifull summits : the Petite Verte (3512 m), the Pointe Lachenal (3617) and the Cosmiques Ridge (3842m).

| Skills taught: | - Develop your skills on snow, ice, snow and rock (“mixed”) - Learn to belay and lead - Efficient use of safety equipment on this terrain (including ice screws, nuts, ice axe etc) - Evaluate snow conditions |

Meeting at 9.00 on Montenvers train station. Train to Montenvers. Equipment check followed by glacier travel and crampon techniques on the Mer de Glace. Night in the valley |
Tuesday : |
Climbing at the Rocher des Gaillands, next to Chamonix, for climbing training. Night in the valley |
Wednesday : |
Ascent of Aiguille Petite Verte (3512m) from Argentière. Ascent by lifts. Night in the valley |
