This beautiful two-day program is for people who want to learn about glacier hiking in the Mont Blanc Massif. You will learn the basic techniques of this activity and experience unforgettable moments. This practice is accessible to everyone, you can even come with your family (children aged 12 and over accepted)
During this course, we will see how to:
- Progress on a roped glacier with crampons and ice axe
- Crevice rescue technique

A mountain guide for over 25 years, Sébastien combines technical expertise and pedagogy. Trained in alpine geography and a veteran of international expeditions, he accompanies you in French, English and Spanish towards your mountain goals.

Chamonix- Refuge du Couvercle (2687 m)
Height difference +: 920m and altitude difference -: 150m. Stage of 5:30am. Meet at 7:45am in Chamonix (Montenvers cog train station). Take the train up to Montenvers (1909m). Then walk down to the Mer de Glace using ladders. Equipping crampons and ice axes and roping up participants. Crossing the Glacier. Then climb on the trail of the Cirque de Champora. Exceptional panorama on the northern side of the Drus. Then via ferrata course. Exceptional panorama of the Mer de Glace. Arrival at the Couvercle refuge (2687m). Superb panorama of the Grandes Jorasses. Dinner and overnight at the shelter.
Refuge du Couvercle - Refuge de Leschaux (2431 m)
Height difference +: 190m and altitude difference -: 520m. Stage of 4H30. Breakfast at the shelter. Access to the Talèfre Glacier. Crossing this glacier. Course with cables and ladders. Arrival at the Leschaux cabin. Dinner and overnight at the shelter.
Refuge de Leschaux - Refuge de l'Envers des Aiguilles (2520 m)
Height difference +: 450m and altitude difference -: 300m. Stage of 4 hours. Breakfast at the shelter. Access to an aerial trail to reach the Leschaux glacier. Then progress on the path that leads to L'Envers des Aiguilles. Ascent to the Envers des Aiguilles refuge (2520m). Exceptional panorama of the Cirque de Talèfre. Dinner and overnight at the shelter.
Refuge de l'Envers des Aiguilles - Chamonix
Height difference +: 150m and altitude difference -: 760m. 3H00 stage Breakfast at the refuge. Access to the path that crosses the Trélaporte glacier. Then descent onto the Mer de Glace and ascent to Montenvers by the ladders. Arrival in Montenvers. Descent to Chamonix by the small cog train.
