5 half-days of backcountry skiing/freeride skiing in La Clusaz.

La Clusaz is an off-piste ski area where our guides and customers are used to skiing in exceptional powder. La Clusaz is a very pretty village resort, a family resort that is very lively in season. An ideal off-piste ski course for beginners in off-piste skiing or those who already have a small amount of experience and want to improve their skills in this activity!

OUR +: All our Guides are very good teachers. They will be committed to helping you progress individually during this off-piste skiing course in Chamonix.

During this week we will see how:

  • Advance off-piste,
  • Evaluate and manage the risks associated with this practice,
  • Use the ARVA (Avalanche Victim Search Device), shovel and probe.

Sébastien Laurent

A mountain guide for over 25 years, Sébastien combines technical expertise and pedagogy. Trained in alpine geography and a veteran of international expeditions, he accompanies you in French, English and Spanish towards your mountain goals.

Discover the complete course of your internship day by day. Each stage is designed for your technical progress and safety in the mountains with an experienced guide.

Day 1

Meet your mountain guide at 8:30am in La Clusaz

Meet your mountain guide at 8:30am in La Clusaz to review the equipment and explain the safety equipment. Ski lifts from the center of La Clusaz then off-piste descents near the slopes, (Crêt du Loup, Crêt du Merle) to assess the level of the group. Depending on the level of the participants, you will switch to another sector.

Backcountry skiing day in La Clusaz

Discover the magnificent combes of Bellachat, Tardevant, Fernuy... Learning techniques to anticipate the terrain. Beautiful off-piste descents on the program for this day of off-piste skiing: freeride skiing in La Clusaz.

New day of backcountry skiing in La Clusaz.

After a short warm-up, we will discover a major off-piste ski descent under the eye of the Mont Blanc massif. However, we will have to earn it with these 30 minutes of walking!

Day 4

Superb day of off-piste skiing in La Clusaz.

Day 5

Last day of the backcountry skiing course with an introduction to ski touring if the participants so wish.

We can also continue to make beautiful off-slopes around La Clusaz and check what you have learned during the course, in terms of safe progress in off-piste skiing (ski technique, use of an ARVA, knowledge of snow...)
