Do you want to discover climbing? Improve your climbing skills? This 5-day course is made for you!

It aims to teach beginners the techniques of belaying and progressing in order to bring them towards autonomy and climb safely. For those who already have a fairly good climbing level (level 5+/-6a in mind), you will improve yourself by climbing at the top safely.

On the program: various cliffs, magnificent and very accessible, around Chamonix with a multitude of routes from 4 to 6b to satisfy everyone! Here is a superb program open to adolescents from the age of 14.

During this week we will see how:

  • Climb safely in second and then in the lead in routes from 5a to 6a for beginners
  • Climb safely at the top in routes of 5+ to 6b for those who want to improve their skills
  • Ensuring a second and a first of a rope
  • Carry out a safe reminder
  • Achieve reliable relays

Discover the complete course of your internship day by day. Each stage is designed for your technical progress and safety in the mountains with an experienced guide.

Day 1

Rock climbing school at the Rocher de Frison Roche (in Les Gaillands) in Chamonix

Meet at 9:00am at the Rocher des Gaillands (gneiss). During this first day, the guide will teach you the basics of belaying and handling in climbing schools.

Day 2

Climbing school in Vallorcine

After a 15-minute walk, we will climb into a very nice climbing area located in Vallorcine at an altitude of 1250 m (granite). Revision of the bases for belaying and handling the previous day. Possibility to make routes of 2 to 3 lengths

Day 3

Climbing school in Montenvers

We will go up to Montenvers by cog train before reaching the climbing school (granite) located at an altitude of 1850 m. Very beautiful panorama. Climb second but also in the lead. Revision of manipulations. Back in the valley

Day 4

Climbing school in Le Chapeau

In 15 minutes of approach, we will reach this climbing sector located at an altitude of 1600 m (granite). You can continue to perfect your gestures on tiles. Everyone will have the opportunity to climb to the top.

Day 5

Climbing school in Giettroz or Barberine depending on the level of the participants

Climbing sites (gneiss) located at an altitude of 1300 and 1400 m that can be reached after a 30-minute approach walk. Two magnificent schools to finish this internship in style.
