This beautiful two-day program is for people who want to learn about glacier hiking in the Mont Blanc Massif. You will learn the basic techniques of this activity and experience unforgettable moments. This practice is accessible to everyone, you can even come with your family (children aged 12 and over accepted)
During this course, we will see how to:
- Progress on a roped glacier with crampons and ice axe
- Crevice rescue technique

Sébastien Laurent
A mountain guide for over 25 years, Sébastien combines technical expertise and pedagogy. Trained in alpine geography and a veteran of international expeditions, he accompanies you in French, English and Spanish towards your mountain goals.

Chamonix - Les Grands Montets - Ice school - Refuge Albert 1st
Step of 5 hours. Height difference +: 520 m. Meet at 8:45am in Chamonix or 9:00am at Grands Montets. Take the cable car up to the Col de Balme. Then climb on foot to the Albert 1st refuge. Ice school on the Glacier des Tours: equipment for crampons and ice axes and roping up for participants. Discover cramponnage and walk on the glacier. Dinner and overnight at the shelter.
Albert 1st Refuge - Ascension of Tête Blanche (3429m) - Chamonix
Breakfast at the shelter. Ascension of Tête Blanche. Exceptional panorama of the Aiguille du Tour and the Golden Needles. Return by the uphill route. Then descent into the Chamonix valley, on foot and by cable car. Return to Chamonix at the end of the day..
