Vittorio Sella Refuge
Meet in Cogne at 11:15am or in Chamonix at 8:30am (allow 1 hour 15 minutes from Chamonix by car). Meeting with your guide and getting to know the equipment. Ascent from Cogne to the Vittorio Sella refuge by ski touring (2584 m). Overnight at the Vittorio Sella refuge. Schedule: 4 hours Height difference: + 1030 m.
Vittorio Sella - Rossa Refuge - Vittorio Sella
Ski touring ascent of Punta Rossa (3630 m) via the Col de la Noire from where you overlook the Trajoz glacier. Drop off the skis at the foot of the summit ridge. Backcountry skiing down to the Vittorio Sella refuge along the same itinerary. Schedule: 6 to 7 AM Height difference: + 1046 m/- 1046 m.
Refuge Chabod - Serra (3552 m) - Refuge Chabod
Ski touring ascent of Grand Serra (3552 m) via the Lauson glacier and the Grand Val glacier. Small technical passage requiring a rope. Then cross the western slope to the Grand Neyron pass and descent to the Chabod refuge (2750 m). Schedule: 8 to 10 am Height difference: + 1000 m/- 800 m.
Refuge Chabod - Paradise (4061 m) - Refuge Victor Emmanuel II
Ski touring ascent of Gran Paradiso (4061 m), technically not difficult, via the Avaciau glacier. Off-road skiing down the Grand Paradis glacier to the Victor Emmanuel II refuge (2752 m). Superb high mountain stage in the heart of the Alps. Schedule: 6 to 8 AM Height difference: + 1311 m/- 1329 m.
Victor Emmanuel II Refuge - Gran Paradiso Pass (3345 m) - Becchi Pass (2990 m) - Pontese Refuge
Cross-country skiing of the southern slope of the massif on the Pontese refuge (2200 m) via the Gran Paradiso passes (3345 m) and the Becchi pass (2990 m). Glacial itinerary in the first part. Night at the Pontese refuge. Schedule: 5 to 7 am Height difference: + 1043 m/- 1575 m.
Hut Pontese - Col Di Teleccio (3304 m) - Cogne
Ski touring ascent to the Col Di Teleccio (3304 m), through fairly steep slopes where you will have to carry your skis on some passages. It is a southern slope and the snow is always transformed and hard, which makes it necessary to put on the crampons. We will pass at the foot of the Bec de Valsorey, a superb granite needle. The arrival at the Teleccio pass is still very beautiful, at the foot of the “Torre del Grand San Pietro”. Superb off-road skiing down the Di Teleccio glacier through the glacier then down the long valley of Valeille. Last and very beautiful stage of this raid... Schedule: 7 AM Height difference: + 1100 m/- 1700 m.
