5 days advanced course in Chamonix
The following 5-day course is for people who already practice winter mountaineering or ice climbing and who want to go further. We will go together in troughs that previously seemed inaccessible to you. You will learn to tame a wild environment, which constantly poses new puzzles. Very nice program for this 5-day chute course!

We'll see during This week perfecting in cable trunks How:
- Evolve in snow, ice and mixed, in gullies of up to 80° maximum;
- Ensure a second and a first of chordée;
- Carry out a call back safely;
- Install effective protections in these areas (ice pins, wedges, pegs etc...)
- Create reliable relays.

Sébastien Laurent
A mountain guide for over 25 years, Sébastien combines technical expertise and pedagogy. Trained in alpine geography and a veteran of international expeditions, he accompanies you in French, English and Spanish towards your mountain goals.

Chute “Claire Chazal” at Pointe Farrar 3660 m > Refuge d'Argentière.
Meet at 8:45am in Chamonix to get to know each other. Then direction Argentière, whose ski lifts will take us to the top of the Aiguille des Grands Montets (3297 m). From there, on skis or snowshoes, we will quickly reach the foot of the chute. It offers 500 m of climbing, about ten in length, with an average slope of 75° and a small passage at 85°. We will spend the night at the Argentière refuge (2777 m).
“Petit Viking” chute at Domino Point (3648 m) > Chamonix.
Today we will leave in the early morning for this beautiful chute, perched in the middle of the Argentière glacier. On the program, 500 m of ice with 3 sections from 70° to 80° which make it a serious race where your strengths will already be tested. We will return to Chamonix at the end of the afternoon. Night in a cottage.
Vogler chute > Cosmic Ridge (3800 m) > Cosmic Refuge.
Direction the Aiguille du Midi cable car, at its top a 60 m abseiling point will take us to the Passerelle corridor, which we will descend for 300 m. From there, a magnificent line of ice and steep mixed terrain (80°) will lead us some 250 m higher, to the Cosmic Ridge. All we have to do is follow his thread to get back to our starting point. At the end of the day, we will reach the Cosmices' refuge to spend the night there.
“Gabarrou-Albinoni” channel on the east face of Mont Blanc du Tacul (4054 m) > Chamonix.
Departure at night for this beautiful large-scale race, which is one of the classics of the Massif. Over the 500m of track, the more you climb the more difficult it will become, ending up with a final chute at 85° in fine ice. You will be able to judge your progress while continuing to learn new techniques. Return to Chamonix at the end of the day and night in a cottage.
Chute Ravanel-Frendo at the Aiguille Carré (3716 m) > Chamonix.
For this last day we will take the Aiguille des Grands Montets cable car again, in order to quickly access the start of this magnificent varied and technical route. Delicate mix, fine and 90° ripe ice will be on the menu of this 500 m high chute. The lengths and the experience will continue to accumulate in order to overcome the hardest passages. Return to Chamonix and summary of the internship at the end of the day.
