Skiing raid on the 4000 m of Saas Fee
4000 m ski touring raid from Saas Fee. Alphubel, Allalinhorn, Strahlhorn and Rimpfischhorn in 5 days with guide. Unique panoramas on Monte Rosa.

IN details

The “4000 de Saas Fee” ski touring raid takes place in 5 days
It is located geographically in the continuity of the Chamonix/Zermatt Haute-Route. However, our “4000 de Saas Fee” ski touring raid is physically and technically more difficult than the Haute Route.
OUR + : All our Guides are very good teachers. They will be eager to help you progress individually during this ski touring course on the 4000 m of Saas Fee.
The “4000M Saas Fee” ski touring course allows you to create a superb program with the ascent of four 4000m: the Alphubel (4206 m), the Allalinhorn (4027 m), the Strahlhorn (4190 m) and the Epaule Rimpfishhorn (4009 m) with unique panoramas of the peaks of Monte Rosa. An incredible concentration of “4000” above Zermatt. We love this raid open to people in very good physical condition with a good level of off-trail skiing.
During this raid we will see how to:
- Make progress in ski touring in a glacial environment,
- Assess and manage risks related to ski touring,
- Use the DVA (Avalanche Victim Detector), shovel and probe

With the bag “lighter”, we are progressing in a magnificent glacial environment to reach an antecum of our “4000” objective for the day (4128 m). The view that opens onto the famous peaks of Monte Rosa is magnificent. Last effort to reach the summit of Strahlhorn (4190 m). Descent and cross to the Britannia refuge. Meal and night in a shelter. Walking time: 6h30/M and D: 1300 m
Britannia Hut - Allalin Pass - Shoulder of the Rimpfischhorn

Aesthetic ascent of the shoulder to the summit of the same name (4001 m) which will be our last 4000 of the week. Our good acclimatization now allows us to make the most of these magical moments in the high mountains. Long and beautiful descent through all the alpine vegetation levels to Ottafe (2193 m). Transfer to Täsch, separation at the end of the afternoon at the train station. Walking time: 6:30/M: 1200 m - D: up to 2000 m (depending on snow conditions)

A talented, pleasant and direct guide with whom we are happy to share our passion for the mountains. Thanks, Sebastian!
I gained increased skills and confidence in ice climbing, as well as mountaineering skills. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. I can't wait to work with Seb again.
I had a great time climbing with Sébastien. I changed the stay due to the weather and was able to find dry rock in rainy weather. Throughout the stay, Sébastien not only offered me numerous climbs, but also helped me improve my skills.
